I admitted patients for procedures to include vital signs, IV's and administering fluids via IV, blood draws/lab work, blood sugar checks. I also discharged patients after surgical procedures making sure patients were stable enough after conscious sedation to go home. I also draped patients before I performed sterile suture removals, wound care and dressing changes. I also assisted with Paracentesis procedures to include draining fluid from the patients abdomen into glass containers. When needed I would stand in on procedures and monitor patients vitals for PVC's heart rhythm abnormalities. I did work alongside a physician daily.
