I have been working with a few different families throughout the years. I play games with them, help with homework, take them to practices and games, cook them healthy meals, watch movies with them, read stories, sing, go swimming, clean up, and try to keep children safe, while having a healthy, trusting relationship.
I have been working at the convention center for many years when I am needed for their big shows. Such as Comic Con, Auto Show, and a few others throughout they year. My mom is a Journey men; she's been doing this work, since I was a teenager. I never joined the Union; so I just work when they need me. What I do here is setting up and taking apart the shows. That involves reading floor plans, following the directions, rolling carpet, standing on ladders, and a lot of team work, and collaboration back and forth. Definitely gotta have people skills, work together well with others, and a lot strategizing.
I worked at the golf course at the front desk inside; I would check in customers on the computer, answer phones, schedule times and events, and keep my work area clean and organized. And I also worked outside, renting out golf carts, cleaning them up, charging them, and putting them away at night when we close. I would also help out by serving customers food when extra help was needed and during big tournaments. I have plenty of serving experience. And I am a great worker, and I am willing to help wherever I am needed.
I provided excellent customer service to ensure satisfaction when taking orders and serving my customers. I got to know my customers, build relationships, and remember what they liked and ordered, so when I see them again in the future I would have it ready for them. I always made sure my customers were happy and taken care of in a timely matter.
I was a lead teacher in a classroom of infants in the 1 to 2 year olds. I had 8 infants total and an assistant teacher alongside me. They seemed to not be able to keep staff, so I often would bounce around and help out in other classes. I was a student going to school, so I knew what was right and what was wrong. I ended up having to stop working their I did not want to get any violation if licensing was to show up when I'm working. They were not always following licensing rules and regulations, like they should have been. But I did have the children on a routine schedule so they became aware of the daily process, stayed stimulated, and there was no confusion for them. I would read stories, did music & movent, taught colors, did art time, play time inside and outside time, feed them meals, changed diapers, nap times, and kept them and the classroom clean and organized.
This was an at-home daycare for children of all ages. The owner of the establishment had three adopted children, as well as I cared for them. My responsibilities consisted of caring for the children, cooking and preparing meals, feeding children, and cleaning up after eating meals and snacks. We would take children on walks, do arts and crafts inside and outside, have indoor and outdoor playtime, read stories, exercise, and change clothes and diapers. Also, communicate daily with parents, letting them know how their days went. Also, the owner would go on vacations a lot, and I would stay with the children for days and weeks at a time, keeping the daycare afloat, the staff happy, and the groceries stocked up. I would have continued working here, but she ended up moving up north and got married.
