- Keep accurate records of parts used during each assembly task.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to safety, product quality standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining production processes.
- Work cooperatively with team members to complete tasks efficiently within established deadlines.
- Read blueprints and diagrams to determine proper assembly techniques.
- Assemble mechanical parts, components or assemblies using hand tools and power tools.
- Align components for proper fit and function.
- Inspect completed assemblies for conformance to specifications.
- Adjust and replace defective or improperly functioning parts or assemblies.
- Use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, protractors and other measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of assembly.
- Verify that all connections are secure before moving on to the next step in the process.
- Test assembled machinery for proper operation prior to shipment or installation.
- Follow safety regulations when operating equipment and handling materials.
- Identify problems with malfunctioning equipment or processes and make necessary repairs or adjustments as required.
