  • Enterprise 351- The Seatrax Equipment service team were deployed for a TDS 500-500 top drive inspection. The inspection the team and I split the motor housing and took all the shafts out to replace pinion shaft.
  • As a trainee I helped taking and tagging all hoses connected to the top drive. Once we had all of the hoses off we assembled everything that was taken off, back on. We tested and operated in front of OIM and safety men, we were cleared and released from job site.
  • White Fleet 450 drilling- Drum Shaft service brake change out, the team and I dissembled the brakes including the emergency brakes. we took all bushings out of the arms and put new ones in. Once that was completed we installed all new brake calibers. We installed the brand new service brakes onto drumshaft and tested the braking system. Once completed the OIM released us from job site.
  • LLOG WHO DAT- Went out with the Crane division from seatrax. The job included cleaning the diesel tanks, changing the a seal in the gearbox of crane engine, and checking all drums making sure they wrap right when picking items up and down. The gearbox was not in the best of shape, so the construction lead ordered that we change out the whole gear box. Me and the lead crane mechanic pulled all 5 pumps off and pulled the gear box out we lowered the gear box down to the rig deck with 3 chain falls and the help from the GIS construction crew. When the gearbox touchdown onto the deck we hitched up onto the new one and began the same process: installing the new one, put all 5 pumps back on, and began testing the gear box. Once approved by higher ups, we were released.
  • LLOG Salamanca- Went out with the crane division of seatrax, we were asked to cut the cable of the crane because it stacked to high when booming all the way and picking the big block up. The lead mechanic ordered that we cut the cable to lower stack on the drum. After cutting the cable I figure eighted the cable until all cut cable was out. The crane operator of Salamanca tested and worked to expectations.
  • While not being offshore I work in house at seatrax located in broussard La, gaining experience and knowledge from leads mechanics.
