Driven and empathetic, with a foundation in animal care honed at Banfield Hospital, I excel in gentle restraint and animal behavior assessment. Leveraging eight years of customer-focused experience from Pet Smart, I am eager to transition my skills into professional dog grooming, demonstrating patience, empathy, and a commitment to learning and excellence in animal welfare.
I currently have a full-time job as a professional shuttle driver.
While this is a good job and pays my bills, I am looking to do something that I really want to do on my days off: Mondays and Tuesdays.
I would like to be a dog groomer, eventually. I need to learn everything, so starting as a bath/groomer trainer seems like the place I need to start.
I have owned dogs, cats, and an iguana. I know that owning a pet and grooming a pet are two totally different ways of really caring for animals.
I am willing to learn everything, including the good, the not-so-good, and the things delegated to the 'new person.'
I have been told by my shuttle customers that I am a thoughtful driver, and I put their needs as my first priority. I have been doing this for eight years, so I have a good feel for what my customers expect. This experience would definitely carry over into the dog grooming business.
My knowledge of animal care has mostly been learned from Banfield Hospital in PetSmart
If I have a problem with my dog, I normally call them first to make an appointment, and I also look up care instructions on the Internet
For my own dog, I have done the following things below: some with great success, others not so much
I am an avid bowler. I have bowled a 300 game three times!!!
I like taking my dog to the dog park as much as I can.
I love eating out at different restaurants
