Duties:

• Performed equipment assembly of custom fluid handling systems, liquid storage units, expansion tanks, ASME pressure vessels and all related equipment manufactured for residential, commercial and industrial HVAC , healthcare, technological and energy markets. Systems handling capabilities included oils, water, vacuum, compressed gases, steam, heat transfer, chemicals and cryogenics
• Duties included measurement and layout, metal fabrication, pipe fitting (steel, copper, pvc), welding (GMAW/GTAW), electrical instrumentation/controls wiring, installation of Armaflex insulation and installation onto and construction of structural steel system mounting platforms
• Precisional work was accomplished from blueprints, interpretation of specifications, trade practices and personal improvising. Repairs were made following system function and performance testing failure
• Was also go-to person for design and construction of custom wooden containers, crates, pallets and large skids used in the shipping of their products worldwide, many having to meet strict import regulations.

Duties:

• Served as Lead Carpenter while supervising 3+ subordinates
• Performed large scale layout and custom residential rough framing, sheathing and related construction of floors, walls, roofs (stick, trussed/custom, basic), custom ceiling details, custom dormers, bathtub boxes and stairs. Installed windows, doors and associated hardware
• Constructed garages, home additions, custom decks, sheds and installed asphalt/metal roofs. Identified problems, recommended solutions and made management decisions as needed to rework construction details and change schedule when materials did not match requirements, or when modifications were required to complete project and/or maintain deadlines
• As needed, performed work of punch-out foreman, examined requirements, completing repairs, project changes and modifications as requested by company or general contractor punch out lists
• Operated rough terrain forklift and skid steer. Served as rigger and crane signaler for steel beams and roof truss erection and material placement
• Performed cutting and welding of structural steel as needed.
