Instruct basic law enforcement blocks of instruction for the Basic Law Enforcement Training Course. Class attendance ranges from 12-30 students. Blocks of instruction consist of:

• Communication for Law Enforcement
• Court Preparation and Testifying
• Report Writing and Field Note Taking

Career and Recruiting Coordinator:

· Work to identify and recruit quality applicants

· Guide anywhere from 30- 90 applicants through a 3-month hiring process

· Lead and manage Buncombe County Sheriff's Office Internship Program which can consist of 5 interns per semester with up to 15 total interns per year

· Designed and manage the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office Hire-to-Basic Law Enforcement Training program

· Teach Basic Law Enforcement Training and Communication Courses as a means of connecting and engaging with students

· Make connections with potential new candidates via hiring events, career fairs, phone calls and other means of communication

· Use community outreach opportunities to improve the relationship between the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office and the community

· Act as a mentor to new and first year hires in an effort to identify needs and establish a pathway to success for new hires.

· Identify retention issues and develops an action plan to reduce these issues

· Identify areas of low morale within the agency and offer solutions to make improvements.

As a GroupEx (Exercise) Instructor, I lead dynamic and engaging fitness classes designed to motivate and inspire participants to achieve their health and wellness goals. I strive to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere, providing expert instruction, and guiding individuals of varying fitness levels through safe and effective workouts.

As a School Resource Officer (SRO), I played a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment within the educational institution. Serving as a liaison between law enforcement and the school community, I was responsible for the safety and well-being of the students, visitors, and staff. I promoted positive relationships while providing guidance, support, and enforcing school policies and regulations.

Serve the community by providing trained investigations to help prevent animal cruelty and neglect. Assist the health department with rabies control by educating pet owners. Work diligently on capturing stray animals to reunite with their owners.
