Career and Recruiting Coordinator:
· Work to identify and recruit quality applicants
· Guide anywhere from 30- 90 applicants through a 3-month hiring process
· Lead and manage Buncombe County Sheriff's Office Internship Program which can consist of 5 interns per semester with up to 15 total interns per year
· Designed and manage the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office Hire-to-Basic Law Enforcement Training program
· Teach Basic Law Enforcement Training and Communication Courses as a means of connecting and engaging with students
· Make connections with potential new candidates via hiring events, career fairs, phone calls and other means of communication
· Use community outreach opportunities to improve the relationship between the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office and the community
· Act as a mentor to new and first year hires in an effort to identify needs and establish a pathway to success for new hires.
· Identify retention issues and develops an action plan to reduce these issues
· Identify areas of low morale within the agency and offer solutions to make improvements.
As a GroupEx (Exercise) Instructor, I lead dynamic and engaging fitness classes designed to motivate and inspire participants to achieve their health and wellness goals.
