Implemenation

Implemenation

Established the Student-Athlete College Success Bootcamp, a one-week college prep experience for all new, returning, and transferring student-athletes attending Richard J. Daley College. The Student-Athlete College Success Bootcamp educates student-athletes on successfully transitioning into Daley College and those transitioning out. The Bootcamp educates them on the college and resources within the college, meeting staff and their fellow athletes and teammates.

It is also about developing the college success mindset and creating the beliefs that new student-athletes need to succeed. Success topics include academic excellence in the classroom, proper study habits, test taking, paper writing, communicating with professors, picking a major, and even what to do if students struggle or fall behind. Additional topics centered on self-care and emotional well-being are discussed, including managing stress, maintaining physical and mental health, and financial well-being.
