  • Perform exposure assessments as well as beryllium hazard assessments/inventory updates.
  • IH duties include sampling and monitoring of air quality through personal breathing zone samples as well as noise level conditions, respirator issuance, provide hazard analysis review for work package and site specific health and safety plans, and update health and safety facility specific policies and procedures.
  • Maintain local respirator protection program through issuance, inventory, and tracking. Continuously monitor surface contamination through wipe sampling as well as personal breathing zone samples for beryllium. Communicate analytical results in the form of a memo to employees, all levels of management, and occupational medicine.
  • Maintain all industrial hygiene supplies to include all personal protective equipment and sampling supplies. Assist in the review of Industrial Hygiene and Safety procedures on a bi-annual basis. Provide hazard analysis review for project package and site specific health and safety plans. Currently conducting qualitative and quantitative exposure assessments as well as reassessments.

  • Assist in maintaining bioassay program including health physics checklist completion, tracking incoming and outgoing kits, issuance of thermo-luminescent dosimeter badges, notifying employees and managers, and termination of employees from bioassay program. Knowledge of dosimeter enrollment systems.
