I have been a American woodmark for 9 years, in many positions. Started as a kitter where I would pick the kits for the builders to build. Then moved on to become a hinger hanger where I would install all hardware into the cabinets, hinge the doors and hang the doors. I also mastered all door styles as well as the measurements which was not required but beneficial to do my job efficiently even when the systems went down. Then became an assembly technician where I was required to learn all the jobs in assembly so I was then able to cover where needed in any position when there were call-ins or if any employee was on vacation. From there, moved on to become a Wrap up Team Lead. In this position I was to ensure that all back ordered cabinets were completed and shipped when the material came in. I was also in charge of making sure that all trucks were loaded and shipped with everything accounted for in a timely manner. Then moved on to become an assembly Team Lead. I am also a member of the safety team actively reporting to any safety hazards, near misses or code blues (safety incidents) are addressed and maintain a CPR certification for this position.
