- In my time at Prism, I had the opportunity to be trained as an ABA therapist where I worked one on one with children on the spectrum.
- I learned how to work alongside children and their families while building connections and relationships to better support and help prepare children for everyday life and skills.
- During therapy sessions we use ABA therapy interventions and methods to set targets and meet these targets during playful matters/approaches, while setting distinct schedules that meet each child's distinct methods of learning.
- The most rewarding aspect of this job was seeing kiddos learn new skills and be able to practice them on their own.
- Because children who have autism have distinct learning patterns in ABA therapy we use positive reinforcement, encouragement and rewards during one on one in-home therapy sessions to help these children succeed in their own setting and own pace.
