A focused education professional with a Master's Degree in School Administration/Leadership and experience helping students achieve education goals.
As an educator for over 20 years, I have experience in creating a safe environment within my classroom, behavior management, curriculum development, and assessing students learning as well as outstanding skills in parent communication.
As a former instructional coach, I understand the importance of team collaboration, communicating with staff regarding curriculum and best practices in teaching to meet the needs of all learners. As an instructional coach, I was able to observe teachers and discuss with them goals and areas for improvement in their teaching.
I am a highly organized individual with a strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. As an educator, I believe the learning never ends and am always excited about opportunities to grow in my learning as an educator and bring new skills and strategies to the school community that I can share with my colleagues.
As an educator, my belief is that we are life-long learners. In a quote from Tom Peters, he states that "leaders don't create followers, they create more leaders." A leader's mission should be to create a vision that is student focused, keeping what is in the best interest of the students in the forefront of each decision as we create a positive school culture.
