Daily Animal Care: Providing essential care for all animals, which includes cleaning, feeding, handling and monitoring health/behavior throughout the day.
Facility Maintenance: Keeping the work environment clean and safe, including work rooms, hallways, back of shelter, etc. In addition, making sure all enclosures are sanitized and stable every day.
Animal Handling: Routinely handling animals using fear free methods, whether intaking, assessing, training, or socializing. This includes handling a variety of small animals, reptiles, and birds.
Record Keeping: Using software to record animal care related concerns, including health updates, medications administered, behavior, and foster information.
Vaccinations: Safely administering vaccines and microchips using fear free methods/restraint.
Customer service: Thorough and friendly interactions with the public, ensuring everyone has a safe and positive experience upon visiting. Also thoroughly counseling each family about our animals available for adoption, how to own said animal, and providing any information about the animal prior to adoption using detailed matchmaking skills,
Teamwork: Working meticulously and efficiently together as a team to ensure every aspect of animal care is being handled with extensive care and compassion.
