Daily Animal Care: Providing essential care for all animals, which includes cleaning, feeding, handling and monitoring health/behavior throughout the day.

Facility Maintenance: Keeping the work environment clean and safe, including work rooms, hallways, back of shelter, etc. In addition, making sure all enclosures are sanitized and stable every day.

Animal Handling: Routinely handling animals using fear free methods, whether intaking, assessing, training, or socializing. This includes handling a variety of small animals, reptiles, and birds.

Record Keeping: Using software to record animal care related concerns, including health updates, medications administered, behavior, and foster information.

Vaccinations: Safely administering vaccines and microchips using fear free methods/restraint.

Customer service: Thorough and friendly interactions with the public, ensuring everyone has a safe and positive experience upon visiting. Also thoroughly counseling each family about our animals available for adoption, how to own said animal, and providing any information about the animal prior to adoption using detailed matchmaking skills,

Teamwork: Working meticulously and efficiently together as a team to ensure every aspect of animal care is being handled with extensive care and compassion.

• Responsible for daily care for all animals (small animals, reptiles, birds), including feeding, spot cleaning, handling, socialzing, and applying dietary restrictions or medications when needed.
• Routinely clean each enclosure, provide each enclosure with necessary enrichment and habitat necessities specific to each animal, and keep animals safe and comfortable while doing so.
• Responsible for selling/adopting animals out, keeping track of paperwork and ensuring that the new owners know everything they need to know about their new friend.
• Keeping up with a fast-paced environment to ensure every animal gets the attention and handling they need to thrive.
• Observing each animal closely for any signs of illness, keeping record of any sicknesses and making appointments to assess sickness when need be. Also administering medications.
• Receiving new shipments of animals and correctly setting up their new habitats, applying 3-day quarantine and close examination for maintenance of health/ necessary enrichments.

• Every Saturday serving food to community from 8:30AM - Until food runs out.
• We prepare and give out 600+ boxes of groceries to families and homeless people in need for free each week.
• Throughout the week we work in the food distribution building and build boxes of groceries, sometimes themed boxes for the holidays. (Ex. Christmas boxes, Thanksgiving boxes)
• Direct two lines of cars through the drive through, open their trunks, put the food in their car for them.
• Homeless line (those who don't have cars or arrive by bus or bike) get special bags of groceries specified for convenience of their living situations.
• Checking in each customer with computer, using programs to check ID's, using database to keep up with who has and has not already gotten their free food.
• Clean up duties include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sanitation of the entire warehouse, organization of food, using pallet jack to transfer pallets of food to designated areas
