Worked as a purchasing manager for a bespoke NY/Amsterdam-based food content marketing company, assisting the Food Art Director and Food Editor with preparing for photo and video shoots. Responsibilities included:
• Prepped and styled food for photo and video shoots, worked directly under food stylists • Effectively analyzed, managed and communicated the optimization of cost and inventory levels: providing forecasts to ensure stock was adequate for all distribution channels; managed source planning, including current inventory and forecast demands; and managed tracking.
• Sourced supplies, props, equipment, products, and ingredients for shoots per shopping guidelines (online and in-person)
• Systematized inventory storage, including prop and food storage, using Google Docs
• Piloted a program to donate unused goods to charities and homeless shelters
• Created a cataloging protocol to organize and order supplies, monitoring any potential supply issues, and provided information to cross-functional departments
• Worked with the Director to control and supervise supplier and distributor issues, assessed their root causes to improve opportunities and decrease risks
• Coordinated and established relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors utilizing MS Teams
