• Provides education and supervision for EEG students, consistent with the profession’s established standards of both didactic and/or clinical instruction.
• Instrumental in the development and implementation of curriculum, program goals, clinical objectives, and clinical evaluation system.
• Coordinates clinical education with didactic education, as assigned by the program director, implementing and assisting in clinical rotations, allowing students to achieve course objectives.
• Coordinates and maintains student clinical records.
• Meets regularly with program faculty to maintain current documentation of students’ clinical progress and communicate areas of strengths and weaknesses.
• Facilitates and may appropriately assign direct and indirect supervision levels, in the clinical setting.
• Facilitates and provides appropriate and adequate clinical instruction for students.
• Facilitates and may provide clinical competency and test evaluations, for each student assigned to the clinical site, in conjunction with designated preceptors and clinical instructors.
• Evaluates clinical education effectiveness, through a schedule of regular, clinical visits and correspondence with the sites; school faculty may assist.
• May assume didactic responsibilities, submitting course outlines, lesson plans and timetable consistent with curriculum goals, for each course assigned, by the program director.
• Participates in student recruitment or marketing processes, as requested.
• Maintains confidentiality in accordance with program policy.
• Participate in continuing education to improve evaluation skills and maintain professional competency.

• Performs review for evaluating compliance with internal and external requirements for:

-clinical practice and pathways (e.g., patient neuromonitoring services, patient safety)

-service quality

-medical record documentation

-practitioner performance evaluation (e.g. quarterly reports,)

-gaps in technologist knowledge bases

-identification of reportable events for accreditation and regulatory bodies

• provides documentation as required for the Quality Assurance Program.
• Logs all daily quality checks per clinician as part of the ongoing QA/Everyday process.
• Performs retrospective review of all technologists as part of the QA program as outlined in the QA manual, logs correctly and presents to the QA committee quarterly.
• Communicates to leadership all urgent or patient safety non-compliant issues.
• Facilitates daily activities associated with client feedback (concerns/complaints) and non-conforming patient services.
• Investigates and completes a Risk Mode Analysis, RMS following Sentinel Events as defined by the Joint Commission, and missed seizures, ischemia, significant reportable changes to in-house caregivers.
• Facilitates and leads process improvements throughout the organization based on Quality Assurance Committee recommendations.
• Completes a Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) prior to initiation of new P&Ps.
• Initiates QA actions as directed by the QA Committee.
• Schedules and leads the quarterly QA meetings
• Effectively communicates with operations and management to drive compliance to quality standards and continuous improvement.
• Maintains Report Templates to ensure quality of medical record documents.
• Maintains spreadsheet/database for ADMIN email compliance for company.
• Assists with technologist credentialing as requested.
• Provides duties of the NMT Neuromonitoring Specialist when providing Neuromonitoring Services 50-60% of the job.

• Knowledge of adult/pediatric/neonatal/intracranial EEG patterns.
• Proficiency in monitoring of Long-term Continuous, Intermittent, Intermittent Technical and sEEG studies.
• Detect and identify both normal and abnormal waveforms and be able to decipher artifacts from cortical activity.
• Analysts annotate and clip/prune studies, create technical reports, complete safety huddles, manage high volume shifts.
• Able to work from home independently without distraction.
• Able to document appropriately to meet industry standards, ACNS EEG Terminology, CPT coding requirements, and company and facility policies, while demonstrating competency with the medical terminology and remains up-to-date with the latest ACNS guidelines, including EEG terminology.
• Skilled with computers and other basic technology, inclusive of EEG equipment, proficient in using/troubleshooting Natus/xltek, Nicolet, Nihon Kohden, Cadwell, persyst software and other EEG equipment.
• Proficient with Epic, Powerchart, and Cerner.
• Able to multi-task, remain adaptable and able to grasp new facility protocols quickly.
• Maintains professional behavior with onsite hospital clinicians/staff as well as fellow Remote LTM EEG Analysts.
• Responsive and prompt in completing new facility credentialing.
• Being able to manage shift coordinator duties such as: assigning patients during shift and for next shift, answering emails/phone calls/messages in a prompt and professional manner, filling out scheduling templates and determining staffing needs, making and keeping logs up to date, completing shift reports, helping other staff with any issues during shift and maintaining my own patient volume.

• Remote EEG technologists function independently by connecting remotely at pre-scheduled times to continuously monitor multiple patients.
• Detecting EEG abnormalities and notifying oversight neurologists and other designated care providers of findings.
• The technologist analyzes the patient EEG recordings, both in real-time and previous data history, annotating the record, eliminating recording artifacts.
• Equipment and lead troubleshooting - and other actions typical in the normal course of EEG monitoring.
• Extensive knowledge of Multiple EEG software and databases. As well as pattern recognition and understanding.
• Working towards CLTM and CLTM-NA.

• Experienced with Xltek, Nicolet, Natus, and Neuro works, some knowledge of Nihon Kohden.
• Experienced in Epic.
• Some intracranial experience.
• Experienced in EMU, ICU, Inpatient and Outpatient settings.
• Experienced in LTM, Routine, Ambulatory, and Neonatal studies.
• Extensive knowledge of Clipping/pruning and archiving studies.
• Experienced in starting in-process reports for Neurologists.
• Experienced in monitoring EEG's from home in accordance with the new billing guidelines implemented in 2020.
• Limited knowledge of PSG, Evoked potentials and EMG studies.
• Teaching/Mentoring being a preceptor to clinical students.
