I also attend Lamar University studying Family Studies which include classes in Family studies, social work and psychology classes. Currently a Junior at Lamar University with 85 hours and after completing classes in August I will have 95 credit hours and have earned an associate degree.
My goal is took work with a non-profit group helping families meet their needs. These needs can be anything from health care to simply putting food on the table. There are many community resources that are not being utilized and the paper work to get them can be overwhelming and that is where a case manager can come in and help the families find access to these resources.
