Summary

Becoming a Partnerships Manager for Donors Choose seems like such a wonderful fit for a myriad of reasons:

1. I am highly motivated to make a difference. I welcome meaningful work and enjoy setting goals and working toward their mastery.

2. I relish the opportunity to equalize learning opportunities for all. This is especially important in classrooms where racial and economic inequity reign.

3. I taught for many years and have a lot of experience working with educators and creating business partnerships. Just two examples are: Receiving funding from Oracle and my local Plymouth-Canton Educational Excellence Foundation to support my Earthwatch Expedition. Secondly, I secured funding for a whole-school vegetable garden by creating a partnership with a local nursery.

4. I thrive in creative climates and places where I can make a difference. Having a positive impact on children is a JOY, and one that I miss!

5. I have such respect for Donors Choose - its simplicity and proven track record. I want to be a part of that!
