I believe my transition from CNA/Med-aide to LPN benefited the kind of nurse I am today. Patient care is a number one priority for me. Communicating effectively with patients, family members, and other health care professionals. In my two years at Western Iowa Tech I have precepted on the Rehab unit at mercy completing 72 hours to now my second year will be completing 128 hours at Unity point on the Neonatal intensive care unit, as well as numerous hours spent on the other units a the hospitals. Working in long term care I have develop time management and prioritization skills that I believe will be beneficial as my nursing career continues to progress.
