Managed care of the acute and non acute Emergency Department patient

• Managed patient admission and discharge processes.
  Performed both invasive and non-invasive procedures, including but not limited to IV placement, foley placement, nasogastric tube placement. Assisted in chest tube placement, central line placement
  Treatment of patients with chronic and acute health problems such as Stroke, MI, arrhythmias, asthma, COPD, CHF. pneumonia, seizures, drug overdose, within fast paced emergency department environment
• Monitored patient reactions to treatments and carefully documented progress

Trauma Surgical Intensive Care staff RN caring for post surgical trauma patients.

• Duties included management of complex critically ill trauma patient through medical modalities including but not limited to CVVH , ventricular drains, orthopedic weights, Pulmonary artery catheters, multiple drug therapies, wound care. Provided emotional support and education to patient and families
• Detected patient reactions, deterioration or improvements and accurately reported results to appropriate discipline
