• Evaluate and provide specialized care, interventions, and education for Veterans with complex Spinal Cord Injuries resulting in either complete or incomplete Paraplegia or Quadriplegia, Traumatic Brain Injury, Ventilator dependency, Neurogenic Bowel and Bladder, Autonomic Dysreflexia and extensive Pressure Injuries
• Supervise team of up to 9 clinical staff on a 25 bed Med/Surg Post-Operative/Telemetry unit
• Implemented medication and IV administration, catheter insertion, and airway management for Veterans
• Assessed physical, psychological, physiologic, and cognitive status of the Veteran population.
• Precepted student nurses and oriented new hires, providing guidance and mentorship when teaching on hospital policies, emergency procedures, and nursing best practices.
• Administered medications via oral, IV, and intramuscular injections and monitored responses.

City of Houston COVID-19 Field Response

• Remote contact tracing and quarantine of City of Houston employees
• Collected and organized contact tracing data from City of Houston employees and disseminated to appropriate individuals.
• Supervised performance of up to 10 clinical staff in community health setting during administration of COVID-19 vaccines.
• Safely administered COVID-19 vaccinations, providing education to city employees on vaccines, dosage, indications, precautions, contraindications and potential side effects.
• Provided extensive materials and answered questions from city employees during COVID-19 disease outbreak, while advising on protective measures.

• Supervised and managed a team of up to seven clinical staff on a 32 bed Medical/Surgical-Telemetry unit in providing safe and effective nursing care for patients in an acute care setting
• Assisted clinical staff with problem resolution to reach safe, effective clinical outcomes for patients
• Utilized the nursing process to safely coordinate care for assigned patients on a Medical/Surgical-Telemetry floor
