03.2012 - 11.2022
  • Working in arduous\hazard work, woodland environment using hand tools, chainsaws, mechanized equipment, air resources and fire starting devices to control and extinguish wild land forest fires. Fire fighter safety is always priority no matter the assignment, job, or objective. Preserving National forest habitat and surrounding infrastructure where the main priorities. I was a Squad Boss in charge of five employees ensuring their safety was priority, training was up to date, and that they were ready for the fire line. To be more specific, I worked with a 20 man Hotshot Crew during the fire season (May through October); which required us to be away from home, weeks at a time.
