I am trained on multiple lines at Gatorade currently. Those lines include lines 2,4,5,6 fillers which all deal with Gatorade and line 8 which is our aseptic line that deals with protein shakes and recovery drinks. I am trained on line 8 Depal which deals with bottling, line 8 sleever which deals with putting the sleeves on the bottles and line 8 filler. Line 8 filler is my Bid job which is what we use to refer to the Job we are assigned to on a daily basis. My daily task of the line 8 aseptic filler includes the following

• Checking the temperatures of multiple things throughout the filler on a hourly basis to insure they are all in spec.
• Weighing the bottles that come out of the filler. Which we do 32 bottles as soon as our shifts starts. And 4 every half an hour the rest of our shift. This also includes sending 5 bottles through our Taptone, which is the machine we use to insure there are no punctures that could effect the outcome of the product and the weight to make sure we are giving the consumer the correct amount.
• Line 8 filler uses a lot of peroxide to run the filler and also sanitation. So insuring the levels of peroxide in the room are correct and safe conditions to be in the room. Which also leads to having to be very aware of others who may wonder into the room not knowing the dangers of high levels of peroxide.
• Sanitation of the filler. This process takes 8 hours and is done by the sole operator of the machine. It includes using our cleaning agent to clean the inside and outside of our filler and its room to the best of or ability. And after that is finished we conduct a CIP ( Clean in place), and SIP ( Sanitation In Place) which is all done from the filler itself while you supervise the machine and make sure all temps and products used in the filler are in spec. Which those two steps alone are a four and a half hour process.
• The final task is keeping the machine sterile. At any point the wrong do is opened. One temp is out of spec or even the wrong person comes in the room, we could lose sterility and have to do the whole sanitation process from step 1. Which goes hand and hand with keeping the product as safe and possible for the customer.
