Rashid Hospital is a Joint Commission International Accredited hospital, it is a 786 bed acute care government  facility serving the population of Dubai, which is the only Trauma Center in United Arab of Emirates.

          SICU is a 16 bed unit capacity, with nurse ratio of 1:1-2. Patient demographics include; Neurosurgery, Polytrauma and General surgery adults and pediatrics patients. Involved in SICU Pressure Ulcer Prevention (PUP) and Wound Care (WC) Teams; a very active program that deals with the compliance of wound care management as well as implementation of pressure ulcer prevention techniques.  Also, one of the leads in Infection Control Group.
