  • Inspect and enhance battery performance by conducting thorough diagnostic tests to ensure optimal functionality on major airlines such as Southwest, United and more.
  • Use of the ABATS software to work on batteries. Checking overall voltage and amperage on batteries.
  • Use of the ABATS software to begin process of checking capacity and deep cycle each battery to check airworthiness
  • Perform capacity, deep cycle and charge up as many as times to make sure each battery is airworthy and has proper voltage in accordance with proper manuals.
  • Contact customers and keep them informed on battery status as well as any issues that batteries may have
  • Replace damaged or non-serviceable cells on batteries due to overheating and cells losing voltage on charge up
  • Create and open work orders on SAP software for all batteries
  • Attach proper work orders and 8130’s to each battery at final inspection before going out the door to customers
  • Check in all incoming loaner batteries on our system as well as on paper
  • Take care of all AOG customers and prioritize all customer needs
  • Read and follow procedures for all aircraft batteries provided by OMA and CMM manuals.
  • Doing final inspections in accordance with OMA and CMM manuals. Making sure all batteries pass inspection.
  • Hazmat certified IATA as well as Ground.
  • Certified in Battery school to service NICAD and SEALED LEAD ACID BATTERIES.
  • REPAIR MAN certified in order to inspect and repair serviceable parts and batteries to return to service. This also lets me sign off on 8130 in accordance with repair manuals and FAA guidelines
