The Epoxy Flooring Technician is responsible for surface preparation, mixing, application, and finishing of epoxy and resin-based flooring systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. The role requires technical skill, attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to deliver durable, high-quality flooring systems according to specifications.
Surface PreparationInspect concrete and existing substrates to assess suitability
Perform surface preparation including:
Grinding, shot blasting, or scarifying
Crack repair, joint filling, and leveling
Moisture testing and surface profiling
Ensure surfaces meet manufacturer and project specifications
Material Preparation & ApplicationMix epoxy, polyurethane, and other resin systems accurately
Apply primers, base coats, broadcast systems, and topcoats
Install decorative systems (flake, quartz, metallic epoxy, etc.)
Ensure correct thickness, curing times, and finish quality
Apply non-slip aggregates where required Quality ControlMonitor curing conditions (temperature, humidity, ventilation)
Inspect finished floors for defects, bubbles, unevenness, or contamination
Perform touch-ups or corrective work as needed
