Accomplishments

  • Tutored WIU football player - helping him improve his grades, and stay on the team (2003).
  • Generated a group project in a Life Skills class (2001). A new system of grading was developed and turned in to College & Life Success Skills Foundation for review.
  • Initiated an unusual class semester project in my Life Success Skills class (2002), in which I invited my students to "overcome a long-time fear or traumatic life experience," and document their success through pictures, eyewitness testimony, and personal evaluation. They responded. And, their projects were incredible!
  • Tutored a 43-year-old lady (mother of 5; never finished high school), who was failing in her 100-level classes. She graduated with a degree as a Medical Assistant, and was hired by a physician in Anderson, and progressed forward with a very successful career.
