Work History

Test Laboratory Mgr, HVAC

SCS Frigette
Fort Worth, TX
04.1996 - 02.2022
  • Produced and operated a Steam Table, "green" Calorimeter, and a large (bus-sized) environmental Wind Tunnel comprising a HVAC Test Laboratory that satisfied quality assurance requirements. It was also used to resolve warranty issues. The Calorimeter: was used to evaluate components, assemblies, and systems in a closed loop that was more energy-efficient fashion and cost-effective than usual. A PC using IMACA algorithms semi-automatically reported Mass Air Flow, Cooling, Heat Dissipation, etcetera in SAE and International (metric) Dimensions. The Wind Tunnel included a KW/SqM "light-cloud" for sun simulation. It was used to evaluate systems in their host vehicles.

Avionics Engineering Specialist

Bell Helicopter Textron
02.1990 - 08.1990
  • Integrated BHTI's 1st "Glass Cockpit" Helicopter: Produced test procedures, applied initial power, and verified its avionics systems functioned normally, or provided corrections and ECOs for following aircraft.

Systems Engineer, A-J Data-Links and ARH Seeker

Harris Corporation GISD & Texas Instruments MSBE
07.1979 - 02.1990
  • Produced aircraft A-J Datalink and ARH specification and block diagram drafts, Mass Properties Documents, test plans, and procedures.
  • Produced Interface Control Documents resolving Inter-LRU signal naming and other issues.
  • Produced lightweight 360 Degree end-to-end shielded wire harness meeting EMC and Tempest Red/Black requirements.
  • Edited System Technical Description Document
  • Team leader for System I&T: Delegated tasks and provided test results.

Engineer/Scientist/Technician, Muti-discipline

Lockheed
Ontario and San Francisco Bay Area, CA
05.1967 - 07.1979
  • As Test Engineer; prepared CNI Avionics, A-J Data-Link, and EMC Test Plans, Procedures, and Schedules.
  • As Remote Site Manager and Test Director: 1. Completed CNI Avionics Test Program. 2. Innovated solutions to calculate aircraft position and heading, optimizing complex guidance and targeting processes. 2. Safely and correctly flew and reported more than 200 flight tests.
  • As Research Lab Specialist assisting Electro-Chemistry PhDs: 1. Demonstrated creativity and resourcefulness by innovating a better method to produce Li/HOH Power Cell anodes while improving workplace safety. 2. Produced and operated a Li/HOH Power Cell Test Apparatus and completed a year-long parametric test program on schedule and budget.
  • As a technician, serviced avionics and sensor systems.
