I worked in customer service for the last three and a half years. I only called in twice during that time. I was regrettably late a few times. I showed up as quickly as i could and worked harder to make up for lost time. I kept my closing partner on task and took care of the back of house responsibilities. I was a supervisor for the last six months of my employment. I had certain privileges for almost a year before hand. I was able to hold an override card for tasks that the more inexperienced cashiers weren't allowed to do. I was also cross trained into the meat department. There i wrapped the meat, would tray it out. As well as running the grinder and the meat tenderizer. I would trim some of the meat as i put it in a tray. I wasn't a butcher but i did small trimming.
Keeping employees on task.
Running and ordering the frozen items.
Closing the store and securing the money.
Keeping tills stocked with whatever money they needed.
Handling any problem the regular cashiers couldn't.
Checking in distributors when needed.
