Leadership Experience

  • Anatomy Teaching Assistant, I attended the cadaver anatomy lab dissections for the first-year medical students and assisted them with finding and learning the structures. I reviewed the material before lab, so I was prepared to answer questions and help dissect. Outside of lab I set up review session for the students to test their understanding. I also met with small groups of students that wanted extra help learning the structures.
  • Osteopathic Principles and Practice Teaching Assistant, I attended the osteopathic principles and practice lab session to assist first-year medical students learn proper techniques and answer questions they have.
  • Young Men’s Youth Advisor, Attend weekly activities and helped plan activities to help young men 13-15 years old to help them learn new skills and participate in wholesome recreational activities.

Volunteer Experience

  • Seager Memorial Clinic 2022 - Present, Provided healthcare to the underserved in the Ogden Community
  • Samaritan Clinic, 2018, 2019, Preformed history and physicals for underserved community members and worked with the physician to provide the best care available to the clinic.
  • Samaritan Pantry, 2019, 2020, Helped the underserved community get food, clothing and laundry needs. Most were homeless or did not have the money to receive these basic needs
  • Tornado and Hurricane Clean Up, 2019, 2020, I helped clean up trees and debris from one tornado near Phenix Alabama and after a hurricane just outside of Mobile Alabama.
  • Dothan Ark, 2018, 2019, Provided dinner and a brief discussion on health-related topics to those who are recovering from drug addiction.
  • Blood Donation, 2014, Present, Having O- blood makes me a great candidate for blood donation. I donate quarterly and have done so since high school. I have donated with Red Cross, United Blood Services, and LifeSouth.
  • Exploration of Sports, I had the opportunity to help youth ages 3 to 14 learn the basic rules of soccer and volleyball during an event where they got exposed to a dozen or so sports. The event is put on annually at the local recreational center to allow the youth to explore their interests. Because athletics have played a significant role in my younger life in building confidence and staying healthy, I was glad to help youth have the same experience. I hope my time helped the children learn more about the sports and about their talents.
