One accomplishment I am especially proud of was receiving Defensive Player of the Year for my soccer team. Throughout the season, I worked hard at every practice and game to become a stronger defender and a better teammate. I stayed focused, communicated with my teammates, and always gave my best effort on the field. Winning this award showed me that dedication, discipline, and teamwork can lead to success. It also motivated me to continue improving both as a player and as a leader.
One experience that really impacted me was volunteering with the INSAN group during Thanksgiving to help give out food to people experiencing homelessness. I helped organize and hand out meals, supplies, and drinks to people in need. Being there in person and seeing how thankful people were made the experience feel very real and meaningful to me. It showed me how important it is to support the community and help people who may be struggling, especially during the holidays. Working with the INSAN group also taught me the importance of teamwork and compassion because everyone came together with the same goal of helping others.
I also participated in my high school’s Red Cross blood drive by donating blood. Even though I was nervous at first, I wanted to contribute because I knew blood donations can help save lives. It felt good knowing that such a simple act could make a difference for someone going through surgery, an accident, or a medical condition. Seeing students and staff come together to support the blood drive made me realize how strong a community can be when people are willing to help others. Both experiences helped me grow as a person and made me want to continue giving back whenever I can.
