Damien Weston:
At the age of sixteen Damien was homeless, living out of his car at a local park. The work ethic and drive he gained from this and other challenging early life experiences would lead to unprecedented success and numerous awards in the field of health care. Damien entered the field of health care as a Certified Nursing Assistant working in local Skilled Nursing homes. He quickly realized that the senior care community was in need of great change. He dedicated his time to his passion for seniors, taking on several leadership positions within the healthcare arena. By the age of twenty-one, Damien became the Executive Director of a new senior housing community in Tacoma, serving seniors in both operations and sales throughout Long Term Care. During this time, he continued to expand his impact, leading large and small teams in business development for Long Term Acute Care, Skilled Nursing facilities and Senior Housing. In 2000 Damien joined Gentiva Health Services, one of the Nation’s largest Home Health & Hospice organizations. Damien continued to deploy the hard work ethic and dedication allowing him to take on additional responsibility and continue to grow with his new team. In 2004 he was selected as one of two individuals to be certified as a Miller Heiman sales facilitator. In the same year, Gentiva recognized Damien’s work, honoring him with the award for “Outstanding Achievement in Education.” In 2005, Damien became the Regional Vice President for Gentiva Health Services for the West Region Home Health Division. This position would carry with it business development responsibilities for over eight states, eighty sales resources and budgetary responsibilities exceeding 150M in annual revenues. At thirty-two, Damien had diversified into real estate, building a multi-million-dollar portfolio in Arizona and Washington St. With the birth of his third child, Damien and his wife made the decision to relocate back to the Northwest to be closer to family. He continued with Gentiva as he took on the position of Area Vice President of Sales serving the senior home health needs in the greater Northwest. Damien also took this time to complete his Bachelors in Business Management from Northwest University in Bellevue, WA. In 2009 Gentiva/Kindred recognized Damien with the “Pinnacle Gold” award, an award given to only 28 of Gentiva’s seventeen thousand employees. Also, in 2009, Gentiva further honored Damien, naming him Area Vice President of the year. As the business needs changed, Damien was asked to take on home health operations leadership for the area. He successfully led home health operations for Damien and served for over seventeen years with Gentiva/Kindred. He last held the position of Regional Vice President West Division leading over 300 sales associates with budgetary responsibilities of over 600+ million delivering consistent double-digit year over year growth. In 2018 Kindred was acquired. Damien took the opportunity to explore opportunities where he could offer his talents to a smaller growing organization. In Aug. of 2018 he accepted the position of Chief Growth Officer with Compassus Hospice, the nation’s largest privately held hospice organization. Compassus operates in 29 states and serves over 8,900 families every day. When he started as CGO, Compassus' average daily census was 8,200. Damien led enterprise wide growth responsibilities for Compassus. He served as CGO and was brought in to help position the organization for market sale. In just over a year, the ADC 12.7% YoY admit growth off historical growth in single digits. He launched a national customer call center and he and his team signed eight new national/regional strategic partnership contracts. In Sept. of 2019, Damien asked to take on a hospice operation role to broaden his overall industry knowledge and allow for a relocation back West to be close to family. As Regional Vice President of Operations over multistate operations, Damien was responsible for approx. 950 average daily census and approximately 250M in revenues. He has successfully led his team through the world wide pandemic to deliver over 20% YTD EBITDA growth on same store revenues. In 2020 Damien was offered the position of Chief Growth Officer with Mission Healthcare. He went to work helping grow Mission Healthcare from six locations to over forty locations with double digit year over year hospice admission growth. In the spring of 2023 Damien entered into his Masters program and expanded his healthcare leadership into Occupational Medicine. Today, Damien serves as the Chief Revenue Officer for Western Medical Training Center, one of the country's fastest growing medical training companies
