PETTY OFFICER WINTERS’ TECHNICAL EXPERTISE WAS ESSENTIAL IN MAINTAINING SHILOH’S NAVAL MODULAR AUTOMATED COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS, WSC-3 TRANSIEVERS, AND DAMA UHF SATCOM SYSTEMS, DURING A C5F DEPLOYMENT, AND FIVE ARDUOUS C7F PATROLS. HE PERSONALLY ACCOMPLISHED OVER 2,000 MAN-HOURS OF PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE, WHILE CORRECTING 42 EQUIPMENT CASUALTIES, TO INCLUDE 12 CASREP’S.
