Principal Infrastructure Engineer and Manager within the Platform Engineering team, responsible for providing cloud platform support to the firm in the area of log management, utilizing Splunk technologies.

• Responsible for defining and executing the 2025 Log Management roadmap.
• Leading an effort to consolidate several on-premises Splunk clusters into a single combined Enterprise Splunk cluster running in AWS, resulting in significant cost reductions and improvements in operational efficiencies. Partnered with Enterprise Security and Operations staff as part of this initiative.
• Partnered with our Enterprise Security team in the upgrading of Splunkbase apps in preparation for the Splunk 9.x upgrade.
• Built from scratch, I currently manage over 100 highly scalable Splunk infrastructure components using IaC technologies (Hashicorp Terraform, AWS CloudInit, and Ansible) that are used across the entire enterprise for monitoring system performance, identifying security threats, and troubleshooting issues through real-time reporting and alerting.
• Built and maintained over 100 Ansible playbooks used to automate daily Splunk administrative tasks, such as index and HEC creation, the creation and bootstrapping of Splunk components, scaling existing search head and indexer cluster components, and performance tuning.
• Built from scratch using Hashicorp's Terraform, engineered and built a highly scalable Grafana and Cortex cluster environment as a migration from New Relic as the new standard APM tool for use within TRP.
  

• Served as a contractor and Senior Enterprise Integration Architect in support of the T. Rowe Price Enterprise Architecture team.
• Technologies include IBM Integration Bus V9, MQ V7.5, IBM Sterling File Gateway, Jenkins, Gradle, Sonar, Artifactory, SVN, and TOGAF.

• Led Application Development team and functioned as Senior Enterprise Architect for a global eCommerce platform powered by JDA Commerce Suite.
• Responsibilities include the definition of architectural patterns and designs, the communication of those standards to the appropriate parties, and governance against those standards and processes that have been defined and communicated.
• Technologies include Java EE 7, JBOSS 7, Weblogic 9.2/12c, Jenkins, Maven, Sonar, Artifactory, Selenium Automation, Monetate, SVN, JMS, Spring, Hibernate, SQL Server 2005/2008, JIRA, and JDA Blue Martini Commerce Suite.

• Reported to the CTO of CitiFinancial, and a member of Citi’s North American Information Technology (NAIT) organization, which provides architectural definition and governance across all of Citi’s lines of businesses.
• Provided J2EE application architecture expertise in support of a large-scale, multi-tier, multi-channel J2EE application that supported both internet customers and the existing CitiFinancial branch network across the US, PR, and Canada.

• Planned and executed architectural solutions for SSA’s Office of Electronic Services.
• Utilized JBOSS JBPM, Struts, and web services for application enhancements.

• Oversaw development of a foundational architecture supporting data collection Web applications for government services.
• Created support structures to streamline architecture for web-based systems.

• Worked with the sales team in a pre-sales position meeting with potential customers and providing demos.
• Directed the design and development of web frameworks with expertise in Java Servlet, JSP, XML, and XSLT technologies.

• Directed development and led technical efforts for venture-backed start-up projects.

• Oversaw creation of UPS Internet Shipping, enabling users to register, log in, generate, print, and attach shipping labels.
