I Graduated High School with an ambition to work in Law Enforcement. I started pursuing my career at Alexandria Technical College with a Law Enforcement degree. I worked as a correctional officer, Sheriffs deputy then as a State trooper in South Dakota. I have achieved many accommodations in my field of work. I am very self-motivated and have a great personality. I work closely with Homeland Security to assist in their investigations.
As a state trooper I work proactive patrol stopping vehicles and enforcing traffic laws. I conduct safety talk to the public on how to be safe in a motor vehicle. Currently, I work in the criminal division. I work my own drug and criminal cases, along with local drug task forces like Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Homeland Security (HSI) and other agencies.
As a deputy I worked my assigned areas to protect life and property. I utilized proactive enforcement measures. I responded to calls to include burglaries, disturbances, accidents and other violations. I conducted field interviews and provided first aid when applicable.
As a correctional officer, I over saw inmates to ensure they were safe, secure, and supervised. I did this by enforcing rules and regulation which included inspecting cells, writing incident reports, and restraining inmates.
