Dana Griffin

I have served Trinity Baptist Church as Tech Chairman & one of the Audio/Visual Production Leads in a volunteer capacity over the last 4+ years. As Tech Chairman, I’ve led or supported much of the IT services thru the configuration & setup of various programs used in the church & I’ve provided support thru troubleshooting & updating various computers used throughout the church including those by staff members. As one of the Production Leads, I’ve helped to maintain & update the presentation & streaming software used during Sunday morning services & other special events or services. This responsibility includes ensuring the various audio/video platforms work efficiently & properly throughout the church.

While the majority of my primary duties throughout my career involved the protection of life & property thru the watch, warning & advisory process along with providing general forecast & observation information in the different County Warning Areas I served in my time with the federal government. This work included multi tasking various roles & responsibilities while operating in a strict deadline oriented environment. Over these many years, I interacted extensively with emergency management personnel, the media & the general public providing a myriad of different information & services. I also gave detailed briefings to local, state & federal official before, during & after high impact/profile weather events. Over these many years, I served as both a Senior Meteorologist & General Forecaster at different times during my career.

In addition to my core responsibilities, I also performed many lead management roles over various office programs throughout my career. Many of these responsibilities included IT support & system administration duties involving the operational work platforms & other various programs & software used in the local office & throughout the National Weather Service. I have also been one of the lead program managers involving various aspects of the audio & visual suites used in different operational settings.
