During my placement as the greenhouse coordinator, I have been responsible for teaching 7 periods of coursework as well as the operation of the student based greenhouse business. Along with my teaching duties, I am responsible for the care and maintenance of approximately 15,000 square feet of greenhouse retail space. My duties for the greenhouse include purchasing plants, seeds, and supplies needed to grow plants for the retail space. I am also responsible for assisting customers with purchases of plants and any chemicals needed to keep their plants healthy. I am also in the process of expanding our greenhouse to include a shade house for the sale of trees and shrubs to the community.

• Prepared materials for lessons, assignments and assessments and evaluated, corrected and graded student performance to identify gaps in skills or knowledge and set realistic goals.
• Communicated student progress, academic difficulties or behavioral concerns to parents, guardians and administration using tact and professionalism to improve student academic performance.
• Drove student learning by establishing clear classroom plans and group objectives, as well as actionable strategies to achieve each goal.
• Assessed student learning progress and comprehension with routine tests and standardized examinations.
• Built positive relationships with parents to involve families in educational process.
