Monitor patients receiving chemotherapy/immunotherapy/ biotherapy, including those part of clinical trials and/or post hematopoietic stem cell transplant, and CAR-T cell therapy

• Monitor patients receiving chemotherapy/immunotherapy/ biotherapy, including those part of clinical trials and/or post hematopoietic stem cell transplant, as well as manage their symptoms related to disease and/or side effect of therapy
• Order and review results of diagnostic tests, including bone marrow biopsies and laboratory results, as well as monitor efficacy of treatment based on lab work, pet scans, and clinical picture
• Provide health education about the state of disease, therapy options, and symptom management
• Write notes, code for billing, and efficiently chart on both Cerner and EPIC electronic health record

• Provide quality care to oncology patients through implementation of evidence-based nursing assessment, nursing diagnosis, interventions, and ongoing evaluation
• Demonstrate clinical excellence in care of patients receiving autologous and allogenic hematopoietic stem cell transplants (HSCT), newly diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma or multiple myeloma, as well as patients undergoing clinical trials, including CAR-T Cell therapy
• Highly skilled in administration of HSCT, CAR T Cells, blood products, chemotherapy and biotherapy medications, insertion of peripheral IV’s, management of central access devices, patient assessment, symptom management, and patient and caregiver education
• Ensure inpatient phase one and phase two clinical trials protocols are followed, and standards of care are met while collaborating with medical faculty, nursing personnel, and other health disciplines to facilitate meeting patient and family needs
• Fulfill duties of charge nurse, preceptor, clinical resource, and mentor to nursing staff
• Recognize clinical changes in patient status and implement appropriate interventions with concise communication of assessment and plan of care to physician
• Contribute to strategic plans and initiatives to advance standards of care excellence, improve workflow processes, and positively impact patient by participating in research activities
• Utilized critical thinking skills to prioritize nursing interventions based on patients'' acuity levels and individual needs.

• Provide evidence-based care to critically ill patients and families with sensitivity and respect to their expectations, age, cultural, and individual needs
• Highly skilled in invasive cardiac monitoring, administration, and titration of critical care medicated infusions as per evidence-based practice protocols/physician orders, and managing patients with advanced airways on ventilators
