-Manage multiple tasks while providing timely, high quality patient care.

-Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and policies and procedures.

-Utilizing the nursing process while demonstrating strong communication skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

-Utilizes critical thinking skills to assess changes in patient conditions, recognizing complications and intervening appropriately for the safety of patients and family members.

-Document in a timely manner, while using the standard of practice.

-Participate in unit engagement, unit meetings, unit based committee, preceptor, charge nurse meetings and peer review.

-Teamwork toward unit goals and patient care.

-Providing compassionate care to patients and families in the labor and delivery, postpartum and nursery settings.

-Utilizing critical thinking skills to assess changes in patient condition and intervene appropriately

-Participates in the unit performance improvement activities

-Nurse Practice Council chair and being engaged with decisions about unit changes, such as peer review

-Providing exceptional care to patients and families

-Managing a team of patients including stroke care, altered mental status, total joint care, head injuries, neuro surgeries, etc.

-Administering medications in a timely manner

-Time management

-Collaboration with all interdisciplinary staff, such as social work, outpatient therapy and pharmacy.

-Working under the care of a skilled registered nurse.

-Taking a team of 3-4 patients and providing care, such as medication pass, monitoring changes in status, vital signs, starting IVs, Etc.

-Providing education to patient and families.
