  • I successfully implemented a change in process to the Case Management model for patient care.
  • We earned the Warriner Award for Excellence 2 times while I was there. This award is based on Healing rates, Patient satisfaction and debridement rates.

We also successfully hired and onboarded a new Medical Director while I was there.

Clinical Nurse Manager

Baylor Irving Comprehensive Wound Clinic
12.2008 - 05.2012

I was the originating manager for the clinic. So I was able to establish forms, policies, work flow, referral patterns, hire staff, onboard physicians, market, chose products, and then work with my staff to see what worked and what didn't.

I had bedside clinical responsibilities and learned all the positions so that I could fill in if needed.

I established a float pool with the Med Surg nurses from the hospital to come help us when someone was out on PTO. They were then great skin champions on the inpatient side as well!

I learned a great deal about billing, coding, reimbursement and hyperbarics and the outpatient world.

It was during this time I sat for and earned my CHRN-Certified Hyperbaric Registered Nurse
