OB/GYN: Includes C-sections, hysterectomies, and other gynecological procedures. There are many reasons why a woman might need to undergo gynecology surgery. She may need treatment for a condition such as endometriosis, fibroid's (benign tumors), ovarian cysts, cancer, chronic pelvic pain, pelvic inflammatory disease, uterine prolapse or abnormal bleeding. Some post anesthesia care for this procedure would be Taking pain medication, No heavy lifting for 4-6 weeks, Keep incision clean and dry, schedule a follow up appointment with your doctor etc.
Orthopedic Surgery: Includes joint replacements, repairing broken bones, and treating sports injuries. Some diagnosis's for this particular procedure would be Bone and joint issues, Muscle issues, Arthritis, Tumors, and Deformities. Post anesthesia care are Pain medication, Ice, elevation, activity restrictions, Rehabilitation and a follow up appointment with your doctor etc.
Neurosurgery: Includes removing brain tumors and relieving pressure on the spine. Diagnosis's for this particular procedure would be Brain and spinal tumors, Spinal conditions, Aneurysms, Brain injuries, Carpal tunnel syndrome, and Hydrocephalus. Safe airway management and weaning from ventilatory support , Monitoring: Neurological, respiratory, and temperature monitoring, as well as laboratory testing, CT and MRI scans may be used to detect complications, Pain management, Fluids and electrolytes and many more.
