Helping clients with daily needs and concerns is a priority as a bank teller. Getting to know the client and building strong client relationships is key to making life long clients and making them feel confident where they bank and knowing that they can rely on a teller to help them with their transactions. I would help clients with their transactions for example, depositing funds into their account whether it was cash or checks or both as well as withdrawing funds from their account. Most importantly making sure the transaction was done efficiently and properly. Always keeping in mind the clients wait time so doing things in a timely manner must be taken into consideration. Cashing checks for clients as well as non -clients. Revising and confirming the check is real is very important for the clients safety. Verifying the clients identity and making sure they are who they say they are so that i know im doing the transaction for the correct person. Counting the funds I receive from the client correctly and making sure their isn't any counterfeit bills and if so taking the appropriate steps into taking care of the bill or check. Helping clients into their safety deposit box when needed, as well as checking clients in when they arrive for their appointment with a banker.
I present great customer service by greeting customers the moment that they enter the store as well as wishing them a farewell when exiting the store so that they know their presence was acknowledged the moment they entered till the moment they exited the building. When a customer needed assistance finding or locating a product I would ask the moment they walked up to me if they needed help with anything or if i could assist them with something as well as answering any questions they had about a product or if they had concerns about a product they were buying for their project. I would assist many customers through out the day by helping them check out and scanning their items in a timely manner. Greeted customers entering store and responded promptly to customer needs.
Everyone in the closing shift would get assigned a task; once assigned and it was closing time we needed to make sure that the restaurant was clean and organized for the next day. When I made sure I had no outstanding tabs open; I counted the cash drawer and turned in the amount that I generated during my shift.
My main responsibility was helping customers check out their produce at a Mexican market. Since many fruits and vegetables didn't have barcodes, I had to memorize various codes for each item. Some days, we'd have long lines of people waiting to be checked out, and I always aimed to handle it efficiently. At closing time, I'd count the money in my cash drawer to ensure it matched what I'd generated during my shift.
