Under the direction of the supervisor, the Child Watch staff follows the sign in/out procedures and maintains a clean, safe and fun environment for members’ children and actively engages with members in the child watch center. Demonstrated YMCA leadership competencies to convey the mission, purpose, image, and core values of the YMCA of Greater Rochester. Child Watch Staff members are expected to.

• Actively engage and supervise children in the child watch and adventure depot center.

• Maintain a safe and attractive environment for all children.

• Greet families, introduce self, and foster positive engagement for all visitors to child watch and adventure depot center.

• Maintain accurate, detailed records of incident reports and necessary documentation to support safety and compliance.

• Familiar with and carry out emergency procedures, building rules and regulations

• Ensure facility is well-presented and responsive regarding cleanliness and repair to create a welcoming environment.

• Maintain required certifications.

Landscapers at Seabreeze Amusement Park are expected to care for park grounds, lawns, and general facility upkeep.

Landscaping & Grounds: Mowing, trimming, weeding, and watering lawns, trees, shrubs, and flower beds.

• Removed debris, leaves, and litter from park grounds, pathways, and common areas to maintain a clean and inviting environment.
• Defined landscaping and grounds maintenance responsibilities to ensure optimal park appearance.
• Assisted in general park upkeep and facility maintenance projects, adapting to seasonal changes for enhanced park functionality.
• Safety & Operation: Safely operating and maintaining hand tools and landscaping equipment (such as mowers and trimmers) while working outdoors in varied weather conditions.

Planned and delivered aftercare and half-day programs for students in grades Kindergarten to 6th grade, fostering a safe and nurturing environment that supports children's spiritual, social, and physical development after school hours.

• Coordinated aftercare programs for preschool and school-age children daily.
• Managed student schedules and transportation arrangements for aftercare services.
• Developed engaging activities to promote social skills and creativity in children.

CIT stands for Counselors In Training. The CIT Program is a 2-week leadership experience. The program is designed for 14 and 15 year-olds who want to expand their leadership skills and learn the skills needed to become a camp counselor.

Counselors In Training Can Expect to:

• Learn and Practice Leadership Skills
• Hands-on day-to-day working experience in actual units on camp with senior counselors.
• Take home certifications in CPR and First Aid
• Mock Interviews and Resume Writing Tips
• Debrief Led sessions by our Leadership Team
• Progressive Programming through each session so they CAN attend all 3.
• Partake in Traditional Camp Activities
