• Building and maintaining infrastructure: This includes roads, bridges, and other structures to support military operations and civilian life.
• Disaster response: They are often first responders at disaster sites, providing engineering support to restore order and infrastructure.
• Environmental protection: They work on projects to protect the environment, including cleanup of hazardous waste and restoration of natural habitats.
• Military construction: They assist in the construction of military facilities and support for the Department of Defense.
