Daniel B. Brinkman

Mechanicsville,VA

Summary

For nearly 30 years, I’ve created lessons that help students think critically, value their individuality, and understand the importance of appreciating others’ unique perspectives. Writing and math are central to my teaching, giving students the tools to connect ideas across subjects and express themselves creatively and clearly. I’ve written nearly 100 educational songs, used sports and other kinesthetics to bring concepts to life, and shared my love of music through instruments like the piano and trumpet to make learning engaging and meaningful. I’ve also completed the necessary coursework for my gifted endorsement from the University of Virginia, preparing me to meet the needs of advanced learners. Featured in a 2019 magazine article about Henrico County’s Top Teachers, I’ve further been honored as Teacher of the Year, Tuckahoe District Teacher of the Year, a finalist for Henrico Teacher of the Year, and a multiple-time REB award finalist.
