Injection Molding Process Technician
2 Years 9 Months- Conducted a some process developments for new and old molds by performing Fill Time Scan, Machine Shot Repeatability, Pack Pressure Scan, Pack Time Study and Clamp Force Scan.
- Transfer established processes from Sodicks and Sumitomo injection molding machines of varies tonnage.
- Troubleshoot defects such as flash, short shots and contamination to meet quality standards.
- Coordinate with Tooling Engineers and Maintenance staff to the find the root cause of part defects.
- Assure all machines are running within standard cycle time. Made changes to current processes to reduce cycle time.
- Adjust Yushin Robots as needed to be able to pick parts or runners.
- Use 5S methodology to create a clean organized workspace for tools needed at the machines.
Internship
3 Months- Perform process development studies on new molds like hold pressure, hold time, cavity balance, and cooling time.
- Ran Design of Experiments (DOE) to determine best optimal processing parameters.
- Carry out IQ checklist, OQ and PQ runs for the the validation of new molds.
- Split molds open to repair any damage received from production runs.
Internship
3 Months- Observed operations of automatic injection molding machinery to detect and correct jams or malfunctions.
- Conducted routine preventive maintenance on molding equipment to help maintain durability and functionality of each machine.
