  • This position is located in the Command Group of Joint Force Headquarters Oregon.
  • Works directly for The Adjutant General (TAG)/Director and manages all enlisted personnel, to include both Army and Air Force.
  • Serves as primary advisor and spokesperson regarding issues related to training, professional development, analysis, and enforcement of established policies and standards for all Oregon National Guard members
  • Provides strategic advice and planning input to leadership on effective use of resources and programs in support of established objectives.
  • Makes recommendations to Army component, Air component, and joint staff on all matters pertaining to the enlisted force and their families.
  • Ensures adherence to command policies, monitors readiness, enlisted professional development, training, health, morale, and welfare of enlisted service members.
  • Ensures subordinate Non-Commissioned Officers comply with state’s enlisted program goals and objectives

  • Effectively mobilized 6,600 soldiers and 2,600 airmen, largest state mobilization since WW II, to support a variety of operations that included wildfire fighting, Coronavirus vaccination clinics and traffic control points.
  • Evaluated organizational compensation philosophy and introduced a more efficient compensation structure.
  • Led working group of senior leaders in development of state-level unit award to be awarded to units for performance of State Active Duty fostering esprit de corp and recognizing each members sacrifices.
