  • On a BLS rig I was either lead EMT or Driver, responsible for either patient care or getting us from point A to point B safely/efficiently
  • On an ALS rig with a medic, I was responsible for all vitals and assessing the patient while my medic completed any ALS skills, then driving us lights and sirens to the hospital
  • Improved patient outcomes by efficiently assessing, treating, and stabilizing medical conditions in emergency situations.
  • Maintained optimal ambulance readiness by regularly inspecting vehicles for cleanliness, functionality, and proper stock levels.

- As an EMT-B I am responsible for all patient vitals and the assessment, as well as preparing anything my medic may need on a call. I am also responsible for driving us to the call and to the hospital if on the ambulance

- As a firefighter on either the engine or truck as backstep, I am responsible for being second in behind my officer on any call. - For EMS calls I am the heavy lifting or assisting with patient care. - On Fire alarm calls I am second in fully geared with a pump can and irons to help locate the reason for the alarm. Should there be a fire I am responsible for initial suppression.

- On lift assists I am responsible for all the heavy lifting of the patient and ensuring they feel as comfortable as possible during the entire process.

- On fires if I am backstep on the engine I am responsible for pulling a line and flaking out the hose to start initial suppression if first in. If second/third in I am walking with my officer up to command to receive orders.

- On fires if I am backstep on the truck I am responsible for grabbing my irons and eithers ladders for possible VEIS or saws for making entry.

- On accidents as backstep I am responsible for grabbing irons and an extinguisher if needed for the vehicles. Should there be entrapment I am grabbing the hurst tools and popping the doors after the vehicles are stabilized. Should vehicles need stabilization I am grabbing the paratecs and cribbing to ensure stability before going to work.
