Motivational culinary leader with extensive experience at the United States Coast Guard, excelling in dining facility management and contract building. Proven track record in enhancing customer satisfaction and mentoring staff, while ensuring efficient procurement and kitchen organization. Sent members to the US Coast Guard Culinary Team that won against all other branches. Adept at fostering teamwork and adapting to fast-paced environments, driving operational excellence, and creating a positive work environment for all. Very diverse and well rounded in many different areas of management.
After 20 years of dedicated service, I've adopted many different types of leadership tactics/practices, approaches to challenges, and ways to relate to team members. I was an interim Senior Enlisted Leader at two different units. In the US Coast Guard, you don't just do one job, you learn how to do many different jobs due to our low numbers, making us a "jack of all trades", developing us into being multifunctional.
I've worked on engines, sewage systems, decks, contracts, procurement, and cooked food, over the past 20 years. I've worked at the smallest and most basic units and facilities to being a contract cook at the white house for 4 years now.
I've received a Sailor of the Quarter award back in 2013, Navy League Award Winner back in 2018, and many different Medals and Ribbons/ Awards.
I received this award for winning the 2018 Navy League Award for Base New Orleans and by having a pretty big impact on the organization.
