  • More than five (5) years of experience providing wide-ranging and comprehensive civil and environmental consultant engineering services on a variety of wastewater, stormwater, and wastewater treatment infrastructure projects.
  • Direct experience with City of Richmond DPU, and extensive knowledge of the City's collection system, combined sewer infrastructure and assets, operations, and wastewater treatment plant.
  • Familiarity and understanding of the City of Richmond DPU design standards and specifications
  • Over four (4) years of experience supporting Richmond DPU's Collections Engineering group in reviewing submitted proposed development packages and evaluating conveyance capacity and hydraulic conditions in the collection system, identify operation and maintenance risks, and evaluating development compliance with DPU sewer design standards. Analysis includes conducting detailed GIS driven analysis of the sewer service areas, both desktop and software driven hydraulic computations, developing subsequent engineering recommendations, and identifying needed upgrades or potential capital improvement projects.
  • Engineering and project management services related to the design of new sanitary sewer within the City of Richmond. Lead design engineer for the Walmsley Boulevard Sewer Replacement project currently estimated as a $7,000,000 effort to upsize 1,500 linear foot of existing over-capacity sanitary sewer to 15-inch, providing adequate capacity for existing and future planned development in the service area.
  • Engineering services supporting several Henrico County SSES projects. Experience developing SSES reports and sewer rehabilitation recommendations. Reviewed NASSCO inspection data, developed and vetted O&M recommendations, and developed an engineering report for the Almond Creek SSES project. Additional experience supporting a similar rehabilitation and replacement design project for the East Highland Park sewer rehabilitation design project.
  • Experience promoting the City of Richmond’s Clean Water Interim and Long-Term Control Plans. Responsibilities included integral evaluation of various alternatives, focusing on assessing project performance, cost, constructability, operations and maintenance, permitting, and environmental and community impacts.
  • Experience supporting the comprehensive condition assessment of all assets at the Richmond Wastewater Treatment Plant and the development of O&M data; establishing consequence and probability of failure metrics in order to provide O&M recommendations and schedule updates culminating in an engineering report and recommendations.
  • Experience developing AACE engineering cost estimates for various sewer, stormwater, and related linear infrastructure projects.
  • Additional experience providing similar consultant engineering services to other local municipalities including County of Henrico DPU, and Chesterfield County DPU.
