Duties:
1. Search for the latest evidence in the literature for topics of interest in thoracic surgery.

5. Observe novel medical procedures to accurately describe them for publications and scientific writing about interesting case series and
case reports.
6. Organize research multidisciplinary meetings every week with Principal Investigators.

This is a Monthly Activity: We serve underserved areas of Jacksonville. The organizations "No Borders for Hope" and " Feeding Northeast Florida" provided food for the mobile pantry:
Duties:
- Organize the structure where food was going to be provided: tents and tables.
- Sort different varieties of food, packing and delivering the food to families.
- Logistics for the drive-through
3. Universidad Icesi (Icesi University), Cali, Valle del Cauca, Colombia
Served to an underserved community in the outskirts of Cali (Colombia), called Guachene, Cauca; a small town neighboring paper and sugar cane fields. Ought to that exposure, many of the residents suffered from respiratory diseases such as asthma and COPD.
Duties:
- Teach patients how to recognize an asthma attack, a COPD exacerbation, and use their inhalers appropriately.
- Also preventative measures that the population would use to avoid smoke exposure from factories and field fires
- Helped to change bad habits such as firewood cooking, smoking, and sedentarism, promoting better habits and improved diet.
